Coatings - Floor, Interior & Exterior

Coatings are useful for a variety of applications including foundation waterproofing, interior vapour barriers, as a high performance sealer for exterior brick, block and stone facades, and floor coatings. Sansoms use the highest quality protective coatings and systems available.

Floor Coating

Epoxy enamel resins remain the best value long term floor coating for commercial or industrial use. Epoxy resin floor coatings can be used to enhance work environments, to delineate various work zones, pedestrian ways and safety zones.

Epoxy floor enamel must be applied to a thoroughly prepared surfaces to ensure adhesion. Once epoxy floor enamels are applied they offer longevity that is superior to alternative resins.

Waterproof Coatings - Interior

A waterproof vapour barrier can be achieved by coating the inside face of concrete masonry surfaces. While it is always best to waterproof such walls from the exterior surface, a waterproof barrier can be achieved by careful use of Aquaguard 101, a water based epoxy resin.

The waterproof barrier achieved by Aquaguard 101 can be left as the finished surface or be strapped and lined, or coated with any conventional paint.

Waterproof Coatings - Exterior

The use of waterproof flexible coatings over all masonry surfaces is a wise decision. Flexicote as marketed by Nuplex Building Products offers a robust, flexible, waterproof coating when applied in accordance with Nuplex recommendations.

Such waterproof coatings offer a solid finish and increased longevity. Flexicote can be textured with fine medium or heave aggregate. Once a stucco surface has been coated with Flexicote, further repaints will require only conventional 100% acrylic paints.
