Established in 1975, Sansom is a specialist company dedicated to problem-solving and maintaining buildings, bridges, and structures.
While primarily operating in the upper half of the North Island, we have successfully completed projects throughout New Zealand and in Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Elton brings a strong commercial aspect and practical experience to the team. Elton is responsible for the delivery of numerous large-scale projects. His speciality is underground waterproofing solutions on large-scale and complex projects.

Elton also holds for Sansom the German-based IRP qualification that allows us access to specialised products, allowing us to provide specialist concrete repair services. Elton joined Sansom in 1992 and became a partner in 2004.

Steven is an experienced commercial manager with 25+ years background in major refurbishments/ alterations. He has experience with numerous commercial and residential projects in New Zealand and the Netherlands. Steven has worked predominately in on-site contracts management style roles and brings a great deal of practical experience to Sansom. Steven is heavily involved in the general management aspect of the company. Steven became a partner in 2008.

STEVEN VAN RHOON

Director

James has a national diploma in quantity surveying and project management. He has extensive experience working in the sealant/jointing, tanking, waterproofing, coating, and concrete repair industry.

Prior to joining Sansom. James worked in Southland for six years, managing and completing the new build and maintenance of electrical transmission lines for Transpower. James also spent a few years volunteering as an operation firefighter for the NZ Fire Service.

JAMES BENINGTON

Director

Chad has over 20 years of experience in the concrete repair industry and has worked as a team leader worldwide. Chad believes the single greatest asset of Sansom concrete repairs is their staff, whose skill, determination and can-do attitude are a credit to the company. Chad has extensive and valuable experience in the remediation of concrete structures, strengthening and injections and has completed training courses with the University of Cape Town, Sika, BASF, Mapei, and Stone Core.
